Panfried Masala Fish (Mackerals)

There are various ways of frying fish & with different masalas. We very often have panfried masala mackerals. It tastes wonderful with  steamed rice & dal fry…
Ingredients :
·         4 fresh  Mackerals
·         1 tsp. Red Chilli Pwd.
·         ¼ tsp.Cumin Pwd. (Jeera)
·         ¼ tsp.Tumeric Pwd. (Haldi)
·         1 tsp. Lime Juice
·         Salt to taste
·         4 tbsps.Vegetable Oil
·         3 tbsps.  dry Wheat flour
Method :
Clean, wash & drain the fresh mackerals well. Make diagonal slits in each fish with a knife as shown in the picture.
Apply red chilli pwd., cumin pwd., turmeric pwd., lime juice & salt to taste.
Mix well & let it marinate for about 25 mins.
In a fry pan heat vegetable oil on med. heat. 
Sprinkle dry wheat flour on a plate & roll the fish in it till the flour covers the fish on both sides & gently slide in the fish into the fry pan.
Fry till well cooked & crisp.
Serve with onion rings & wedges of lime.
